Is Bill going to fly in to stay at the hotel and then fly out as he usually does, or will he actually ride the train this time?

Going train all the way!  Seat 8A on both trains. I'll try not to kick your seat! :D

The other classic I get is somebody behind me unlocking their tray table and letting gravity open it, causing it to crash down and shake my seat.   Not to give you any ideas.......

Hello everyone. I look forward to seeing old friends as I join the Blue Ridge Roanoke Excursion in RNK on Sunday am. Am going on Friday 10/9 from CLE to WAS on 30 and then to RNK that afternoon so that I can spend time at VA. Transport Museum and some exhibits at art museum on Sat.
Will be staying at Comfort Inn north of downtown on Fri & Sat.    Will be in Seat 10A on 171 on Friday and Seat 6A on 156 on Sunday.

Hi Bill, I will be on that train 171 when you board in WAS, two seats in front of you.

Just a heads-up to those boarding #147 in New England on Saturday: The dwell time at New York Penn/Moynihan Station for through trains to/from Springfield is longer than the Boston trains. It may be around 45-50 minutes. I was reminded of this today while aboard #140 heading to Hartford.

Fortunately, all Silver Service trains have run unimpeded by the Tropical Storm so far. Hope it stays that way through the weak TS that the Mid Atlantic and North East states will experience today and tomorrow..

So far so good!
