The Courier, Lincoln, IL 1/24/18:

Lincoln Depot may be future Tourism Bureau HQ

Lincoln City Council discussed this week the possibility of allowing the Logan County Tourism Bureau to occupy the Lincoln Depot.

At the start of the conversation Tuesday night, Mayor Seth Goodman said the city would be responsible for around $1,500-$1,600 per month in expenses related to the Depot, including bills from Comcast, Ameren, Frontier, Illinois American Water, landscaping, maintenance, mowing and an interior cleaning service.

As part of the city’s intergovernmental agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation, Lincoln must cover the utility, insurance and maintenance costs associated with the newly renovated train station for the next 20 years. In turn, the city was granted access to 3,120-square-feet of space inside the building to use as they please.
