MARC Train - No Brunswick Line service Wednesday

There will be no MARC Train service on the Brunswick Line on Wednesday, December 16 due to the forecast of major snowfall west of Barnesville and major icing potential in central Montgomery County. Additional information will be sent tomorrow regarding the status of Brunswick Line service on Thursday. Light RailLink Service Advisory - Pending Inclement Weather

MDOT MTA is closely monitoring the pending weather event and will make changes as conditions warrant. Any changes to services will be made available via the MTA website - www.mta.maryland.gov, Facebook, Twitter, or by calling the Transit Information Contact Center at 410-539-5000. There will be no MARC Train service on the Brunswick Line on Thursday, December 17 due to the ongoing major winter weather event and forecasts for further deterioration of conditions overnight. We will provide information about Brunswick Line service on Friday on Thursday evening. MARC Penn and Camden Line - trains will operate Thursday

The MARC Penn and Camden Lines will operate on Thursday on the Enhanced R schedule which is in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic. MARC Facilities staff will be treating platforms and parking lots to combat icy conditions, but passengers who are riding tomorrow should be very careful tomorrow morning. This includes when you are driving to the station, walking -- not running -- to the train platform, and exercising additional caution when boarding the train.

MDOT MTA Weather Related Service Advisory

Due to the recent inclement weather in our service area, customers utilizing Local and CityLink bus service may experience delays or detours as routes are adjusted based on road conditions across the service area. Light RailLink and Metro SubwayLink may experience delays as we work to keep rails clear of snow and ice. We are asking customers to please plan ahead and allow extra time for your travels. Visit mta.maryland.gov for the most up to date service alert information as weather conditions change.
