The Union Pacific Railroad Museum, Council Bluffs, Iowa

The Union Pacific Railroad may have not been the first railroad in North America, but it became the largest railroad in the United States covering nearly two-thirds of the nation ranging from the Pacific Coast to as far east as St. Louis and Chicago, and you cannot overlook some of Union Pacific’s massive locomotives of which many of their diesel locomotives and a few steam locomotives are still in use today. How can you forget how Union Pacific was part of the first Transcontinental Railroad with the Golden Spike in Promontory, Utah? No matter what, the Union Pacific has staked its claim in the railroads of North America, and you can experience this at the Union Pacific Railroad Museum in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
