MARC Service Alert, 2:49 pm 5/6:

Significant Camden Line delays possible this afternoon (15-30 min), single track Riverdale-Savage

CSX has informed MARC that due to scheduled trackwork and significant freight train congestion, Camden Line trains will operate on a single track between Riverdale and Savage this afternoon.  Delays of 15-30 minutes are possible due to this single track operation.

All eastbound trains to Camden Yards will board passengers on the opposite track at Riverdale, College Park, Greenbelt, Muirkirk and Laurel staitons.

Washington Metrorail will honor MARC tickets this afternoon.  Please show your MARC ticket to the Metrorail Station Manager, and he or she will permit you to enter through the gate next to the information kiosk.

Updates on these delays will be provided as information becomes available this afternoon.  We regret any inconvenience and thank you in advance for your patience and patronage.

MARC service alert, 4:54 pm 5/6:

Camden Line delays easing, track restored to service, 5-15 min delays possible the rest of the day

Camden Line Update (4:50pm), CSX has notified MARC that both tracks have been restored to service between Riverdale and Savage.  However, minor delays (5-15 minutes) are possible due to temporary speed restrictions put in to place after today's trackwork.  The lengthier delays predicted earlier should not occur.

Trains should begin using the regular platforms at Riverdale, College Park, Greenbelt, Muirkirk and Laurel, however, if you are boarding at these stations, please listen for announcements regarding any changes.
