Empire Builder Trains 27 and 28: Checked Baggage and Amtrak Express Temporarily Suspended at Vancouver, WA

Effective through July 31, 2015

 
Due to BNSF track work being performed near the Vancouver, WA, station platform, checked baggage service and Amtrak Express shipments on Trains 27 and 28 are suspended at Vancouver, WA. It is anticipated that the work will be complete by July 31, 2015. At which time, checked baggage service will be restored. This temporary suspension affects:

 

Checked Baggage

• Passengers getting on or off Trains 27 and 28 at Vancouver, WA, will not be permitted to check baggage.
• Passengers making connections to or from Trains 27 or 28 at Vancouver will not be permitted to check baggage.

During this period, checked baggage service will continue to be available on Amtrak Cascades trains at the Vancouver, WA station.

 

Amtrak Express Shipping

• Amtrak Express packages cannot be shipped to or from Vancouver.
• While Express service is suspended at Vancouver customers may, instead, ship packages to Portland.
• Customers who ship Amtrak Express packages to Portland must pick up the shipment at Portland. Packages will not be transported to the Vancouver station.
