MARC Train: Full Service Monday

MARC Train management is closely monitoring the approaching winter storm.  We will operate full weekday service tomorrow on all three lines and move up larger trainsets to operate earlier tomorrow afternoon in anticipation of passengers leaving work early.

As you travel home tomorrow evening, you will likely encounter the first flakes of snow.  Please be extra careful and take your time leaving your train, walking to your car, and driving home.

A decision about service on Tuesday will be made Monday evening or early Tuesday morning when the impact of the storm becomes more clear.

Thank you for riding MARC Train.

MARC Service Alert, 3/13:

R schedule on all three lines Tuesday, service may be cancelled if weather worsens, update by 4am

MARC Train will operate on the "R" schedule on Tuesday, March 14 in anticipation of inclement weather.  This operating plan is subject to change based on weather conditions and if conditions significantly deteriorate, service may be cancelled on one or all lines.  A final decision about MARC Train operational status will be made by 4:00am Tuesday morning.

Only trains with an "R" under the train number in the Camden and Penn Line timetables and Brunswick Line trains listed in the special grid on the right side of the timetable will operate.  In addition, some trains will make additional stops when operating on the "R" schedule as noted in the timetable grid.  Please note that the "R" schedule replaces the former "S" schedule and that there have been changes made to which trains operate on this reduced service schedule.  Carefully review the timetables to ensure that the train you want to ride is operating.

Thank you for riding MARC Train.

MARC Service Alert, 3/13:

No Frederick TransIT bus service to Pt Rocks or EPTA bus from Brunswick to WV Tuesday

Frederick TransIT and EPTA have notified MARC Train that they will not operate bus service to or from the MARC Brunswick Line tomorrow.  There will be no Meet the MARC shuttle service from Frederick and Monocacy to or from Point of Rocks and no bus service from Brunswick to West Virginia stations.

As of 9:30pm tonight, MARC Train plans to operate "R" schedule service on the Brunswick Line tomorrow.  Service may be suspended entirely if weather conditions deteriorate.  A final decision will be made Tuesday morning by 4:00am -- the MTA website will be updated and an E-alert will be sent.

Thank you for riding MARC Train and if you do commute tomorrow please exercise extreme caution and care.
