MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — A Mobile County Public School bus driver is on administrative leave. Students say she tried to run across the tracks and beat a train on their ride home.
Two Grand Bay middle school students say they had a scary bus ride home Tuesday. "I was like we're going to die," one 7th grader said.
"We we're going to the railroad tracks and the light started blinking and the big pole came down on top of the hood, she tried to back up and she couldn't," a 6th grader said. "We were this far from the train."
