Enjoyed reading this half of the reports.

Had no idea about the Delmar Loop Trolley.

Shame. I had a 4 hour flight delay at STL a few weeks ago, and took a spin on the light rail, but didn't know about this service.

Given how long the Loop Trolley took to get open, and how its hours are still limited (only on Thursdays thru Sundays and only after 12 Noon) it was sort of a bucket list item that had to be planned carefully into my entire itinerary.   It can be directly accessed by the Metrolink Red Line (from the airport) at Delmar Loop station, or the Metrolink Red or Blue Lines at Forest Park/DeBaliviere station.

While my time during the Fest was pretty similar to a mash-up between Bill's and Kevin's, I should post my after-Gathering travel here.

After breaking off from the group around lunchtime, I went to the Dairy Block a few blocks from Union Station. I had a solid chicken sandwich with tater tots and a drink at Lou's Hot and Naked, a chicken restaurant in that building. Only $9 for that on the lunch special! I walked around a bit inside and noticed a free painting area, so I made a painting to bring home there.

After I was done there, I took the free mall bus down to Civic Center Station and walked a block to the YMCA to freshen up. After that, I worked my way back to the airport via the mall bus and the A-Train. Once at the airport, I went up to the hotel outside deck area as they were hosting a "Beer Flights at DEN" event. I sampled 10 different beers there, some of which I've made a mental note to get again next time I'm there. After that, I went through airport security (about 5 minutes with Pre-check,) grabbed a cheese and fruit box from Hudson News, and ate that before flying back home.

The rest of the trip home was rather uneventful. Flight was on-time throughout, and the Blue Line trip to 46th St. Station was also smooth. The bus driver on the A Line was rather grumpy and seemed to be having a pretty "off" day overall, but I still made it home with a relatively minimal amount of fuss. Overall it was great to see everyone and I'm glad I could squeeze in a day to ride Denver's rail system and grab a few more lines that I haven't done yet.

Thanks for the link and more info. Will file this one away in the hopefully someday column for the moment.
