MARC service alert 3/31/20

MARC Train - COVID-19 rider alert

In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID -19, PLEASE USE TRANSIT FOR ESSENTIAL TRAVEL ONLY.  Essential travel means taking trips to work, hospitals, health care providers, pharmacies, grocery stores, banks, food distribution centers, schools, to provide care for family members, and other similar destinations.  By reducing unnecessary travel, transit becomes safer for those who depend on it, especially essential healthcare workers, and for those who operate it.

MARC Train continues to operate on an R schedule on all three lines and Penn Line weekend service will operate as scheduled.  While the ticket offices at Odenton and Frederick will be closed until further notice, the waiting room and ticket machine at Odenton will remain accessible.

Passengers are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets prior to boarding the train.  Use CharmPass, our mobile ticketing app, for convenient and secure ticket purchases or the MARC ticket vending machines (TVM) located at most stations; many TVMs accept cash.
