From Florida Coalition of Rail Passengers (FCRP), newsletter for August 2005:
FCRP asks its members to keep contacting politiicians on all levels regarding the funding of Amtrak.
FCRP's next meeting will be in Sanford, FL at the city's public library. The date and time are Saturday, October 15th, 11 AM. This meeting will feature a speaker about the commuter rail proposal for Central Florida. Following the business meeting, the group will enjoy lunch at 12:30 at the Colonial Room Restaurant.

Unless you are traveling from Virginia and transporting a vehicle, Sanford no longer has passenger rail service.
