The PNW Fest 2010 Lite will take us on many different train lines in the region. Still, there are some rails in each city that our group won't be able to help keep shiny due to time constraints and rush hour status of some rail lines. :( Meet the new feature, Red Signals here.

This page was updated today, taking in the fact that the Olympic Line is no longer running, and the line it replaced, the Vancouver Downtown Historic Railway (VDHR), is "closed for construction".

If VDHR reopens this season, and before we arrive in July, it may still only operate on weekends as it has in the past. Since we're there on a Thursday & Friday it won't work out anyway.

The beauty of the Internet is that you can change things at any time. There's plenty of mud on my face as it hit me ELEVEN MONTHS after this Fest that I forgot to include on the Red Signals page the George Benson Waterfront Streetcar. I now added it to the page here.

Since we visited Seattle, the #99 buses that they had wrapped to "look like" the streetcars are no longer wrapped, and they've even been rerouted onto First Street, away from the Waterfront. So you can't even bustitute to view the tracks and stations anymore. :(
