TRAVEL ADVISORY - PATH MODIFYING SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE ON THE NEWARK-WTC LINE THE NEXT TWO WEEKENDS FOR POSITIVE TRAIN CONTROL WORK

Date: Oct 20, 2016
 

Early Sunday morning service on the Newark-World Trade Center PATH line will be modified the next two Sundays to allow for required testing of Positive Train Control, a federally mandated signal system. Trains will run once every hour between 2 a.m. and 6:55 a.m. on Sunday, October 23, and Sunday, October 30. Normally, the Newark-WTC line operates on a 35-minute schedule during that time period.

Trains will depart WTC and Newark stations at 2 a.m., 3 a.m., 4 a.m., 5 a.m., 6 a.m. and 6:55 a.m. during this time. PATH will run additional train service between Journal Square and WTC to accommodate as many passengers as possible.
