Piedmont Trains 74 and 75: Service Canceled

 

Effective Monday, July 20, 2015 Only

 

Due to track work being performed by Norfolk Southern Railway as part of the Piedmont Track Improvement Project, Train 74 and 75 will be canceled on Monday, July 20, 2015.

 

Alternate transportation will not be provided. Passengers traveling between Charlotte and Raleigh can make reservations aboard Piedmont Trains 73 and 76 or Carolinian Trains 79 and 80.

Due to track work being performed by Norfolk Southern Railway and the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS), Trains 74 and 75 will be canceled on Monday, October 12 and Monday, November 2, 2015.

 

While alternate service will not be provided, passenger traveling between Raleigh and Charlotte can make reservations aboard Trains 79 and 80, the Carolinian, and Trains 73 and 76, the Piedmonts serving all stations on the route.

Interesting that the project is related to work by CATS of Charlotte.  I guess the northside Blue Line runs close to the Norfolk Southern right-of-way.
