System velocity and carloadings were up compared to the previous week, and system terminal dwell increased slightly. Maintenance projects for the upcoming week include tie, rail and bridge maintenance work on 10 subdivisions, with a heavy focus on key routes in the Pacific Northwest and Central Texas. Below are some network statistics from last week:
- Carloadings for the week ending April 11, 2015, were 182,240. This is up nearly 2 percent compared to the previous week.
- AAR system velocity was 24.4 mph, which is up 0.6 mph compared to the previous week.
- System terminal dwell was 28.7 hours, up 0.3 hours compared to the previous week.
- In total, we had 291,480 cars online, which is flat to the previous week.
