Dear MARC Rider:

Amtrak and CSX have informed us that they anticipate that all MARC lines will be operational for Monday and that we will be able to operate a regular schedule. There continue to be numerous locations where the power is out along the railroad particularly along the Brunswick Line which means backup generators are currently being used to power the signals and switches. If these power outages continue through Monday this may cause some delays to some trains. Also with the power outage problems there are currently stations where the PA and LED systems are not working.

MARC and CSX will be closely monitoring the Potomac River over the weekend. The river is supposed to crest at Point of Rocks around 8 PM on Saturday. Consequently, by Sunday morning we should know whether flooding will cause any problems to the Brunswick Line. Please look for additional email notifications or monitor our website www.mtamaryland.com on Sunday afternoon to see if the flooding will impact service for Monday.

Sincerely

MARC Train Service
