I count 4 trips on Amtrak trains.   Three of them on long distance trains, and one on a corridor train namely the Missouri River Runner.  Of the long distance trains, one of the three will be an afternoon/evening trip not involving travel overnight; I would expect by letting previous experience be our guide that many will still take sleepers and thus take advantage of the dinner they entitle us to.  As long as we stay in "day mode", with rooms not converted to bed ("night mode"), some might want to share roomettes or bedrooms and save some money.  On the two Texas Eagle trips, both of those will involve overnight travel in bed.

On the Missouri River Runner,  the choice is Coach or Business Class.  I've opted for the latter in order to up my AGR points since Business Class travel does come with a 25% bonus of tier qualifying points.  I believe that this train uses the smaller partial Business Class section with brown seats on one end of a café car, so the number of seats may be limited as there is not a full Business Class car.

For the three long distance trips on which most if not all will travel in a sleeper, I am now ready to take your Amtrak travel plans. The charts are made and ready to go, as we approach the two months-to-go mark in advance of the Fest.  If you have all your Amtrak reservations needed for the above trains, please e-mail me with the subject marked as such and I will post them on the chart.  Periodically I will send them out as the list grows so we can see where we are relative to one another.

By request, I can also easily add pages to the charts for other trains you may be riding together with other participants; for example the train you would be riding between East Coast points and Chicago in both directions.

In about a month I will do the same with the contact list that contains participants' hotels in the cities we are visiting.
