For those who might be staying in downtown Dallas more than a couple of blocks from the light rail trunk line, there is a network of skywalks and tunnels connecting many buildings in the city, known as the Dallas Pedestrian Network.  In case of inclement or extremely hot weather, you may wish to take this route to & from the light rail.   MAP

Interesting. I never knew about this. I don't think this will help us since we are staying near market center.

True.  The Market Center cluster of hotels is about 2 miles from downtown, along the DART Green/Orange Lines (and there is a separate station further west for TRE). The pedestrian network does not extend this far.
