  MAX returns to regular service March 4, 2024   

 

 

Gateway Transit Center will be closed to MAX for construction from January 14–March 4, 2024. MAX Blue and Green lines will be disrupted, and MAX Red Line will be suspended during that time.

      Newest TriMet MAX station takes shape as A Better Red disruption reaches halfway mark  

 

 

Like a train rolling down the tracks, completion of the second of three major phases of TriMet’s A Better Red MAX Extension and Reliability Improvements Project is getting closer. Once that second phase finishes on March 4, TriMet will reach another milestone on the way toward improving how riders move through a main connector for the MAX system.

WATCH: TriMet’s A Better Red Disruption Starting March 16th

 

PORTLAND, Ore. – TriMet will have a final disruption from March 16th to March 24th along the MAX Blue Line in Hillsboro.

 

On February 16th, RT&S reported that TriMet’s Gateway North MAX station (as part of its A Better Red MAX Extension and Reliability Improvements Project) will be open on March 4th. Now, the agency has announcedthat construction of its A Better Red MAX Extension and Reliability Improvements Projects will have a final planned disruption from Saturday, March 16th to Sunday, March 24th along the MAX Blue Line in Hillsboro. During this time, crews will finish signal work in and around the Fair Complex/Hillsboro Airport MAX Station.” Below is a video from TriMet detailing the disruption.
