Sleeping Time For Passengers Travelling In Indian Trains Reduced, Can Sleep Between 10PM To 6AM
The Indian Railways has decided to put an end to the undecided long sleeping hours on the train have cut it short to only 8 hours. In a recently issued circular, the passengers in reserved coaches can now only sleep between 10 p.m and 6 a.m.
This move is done to allow other passengers to sit for the rest of the time, especially those who board the train during odd hours.
Prior to the circular, the sleeping time for passengers was 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. “Sleeping accommodation between 2200 hours and 0600 hours and sitting accommodation for the rest of the period is provided for the passengers in the reserved coaches having sleeping accommodation,” said the circular, dated August 31.
