From the For What It's Worth Department:

This is mostly irrelevant to anyone else, but I had to look it all up so you have to view it (not read it though).

Here is the July on time status (so far) for trains I'll be taking next week and week after -- trains 48(14), 63(15), 64(19), and 49(19). Times are lateness, some approximate to nearest quarter hour, from the Amtrak web site:

Lake Shore Limited east bound 48, status at BUF:
Scheduled at BUF: 6:49am
July 1: 1:00
July 2: 2:30
July 3: 2:15
July 4: 1:30
July 5: On time

Maple Leaf west bound 63, status at BFX and Toronto:
Scheduled at BFX: 3:09pm
Scheduled at TWO: 7:44pm
July 1: 1:00 and 1:00
July 2: On time both
July 3: 0:37 and on time
July 4: 0:25 and 1:41
July 5: 0:20 and On time

Maple Leaf east bound 64, status at SYR:
Scheduled at SYR: 4:00pm
July 1: 2:39
July 2: 2:00
July 3: 0:46
July 4: 2:00
July 5: 2:15
July 6: 1:21
(I plan to connect to west bound LSL at SYR)

Lake Shore Limited west bound 49, status at SYR and CHI:
Scheduled at SYR: 8:50pm
Scheduled at CHI: 8:55am
July 1: 1:21 and 4:00
July 2: 1:00 and 8:00 (!)
July 3: 0:44 and 1:21
July 4: OT and 1:00
July 5: 0:41 and 1:00

I have a flight out of Chicago Midway at 1:35pm, so if the LSL is anything over about 3 hours late it will make my life very difficult.

Flight: A very strange and unnatural way to travel, without any flanged wheels. :)
