Nigeria: Calabar's New Attraction

True, a new city is rising in the Summit Hills of Calabar that is expected to connect Tinapa through a mono rail by the time the work there is completed in November 2014. [Edit: should be November 2015]

Ayade testrun Calabar monorail

 

Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, yesterday test-run the monorail which took off from Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort to the Calabar International Convention Centre, CICC, at the Summit Hills and back to Tinapa. Ayade stated that the feat is one in a series of pioneering achievements which Cross River is known for.

Calabar monorail ready for inauguration

 

As part of efforts to ease movement in the state capital, the multi-billion Naira Calabar Light rail project will soon be inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari.
