From noon to 5:00pm on Sunday, July 2nd, Loop Trolley Car 001 will be parked at the Missouri History Museum station stop, located at the corner of Grand Drive and DeBaliviere Circle immediately south of the museum. The car is one of two replica Council Crest trolley cars purchased from Portland and restored for use here.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by our informational table at the station stop to learn about the Loop Trolley project's past and future, and to enter into a drawing for one of our neat new t-shirts. Loop Trolley staff and volunteers will be on hand to share details on the trolleys themselves, snap a picture of you and your friends/family, and maaaaybe even join you for a verse or two of "Clang! Clang! Clang!"

Fair Saint Louis is celebrating its 36th year this year, and fourth consecutive at Forest Park as work on the downtown St. Louis riverfront and Archgrounds continues. Each year, an estimated 200,000+ visitors from across the region experience the amazing music, food, festivities and fireworks at the Fair. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation, with Forest Park station just north of the Fair serving all legs of the Metrolink system.

Did You Know? The original Council Crest trolleys were built by the American Car Company of St. Louis, Missouri, as part of Portland's Lewis & Clark Exposition in 1905. 8ba252cf-9068-4aab-94d8-9cd659bfc228.jpg The Loop Trolley is currently in its testing phase, following the completion of construction of the tracks, overhead system, and maintenance/storage facility. Once open for passenger service, vehicles will run a total of 2.2 miles through the Delmar Loop, along Delmar Blvd. and continue on DeBaliviere Ave. into Forest Park, connecting people and neighborhoods, the past and the present. From restaurants and shopping to entertainment, recreation and the arts, riders will be able to take in the multitude of attractions to experience along the route as they enjoy both the country’s “#1 City Park” and “One of the 10 Great Streets in America.”
