Maybe the Meteor was out of something that the Star could provide.... you know, something like toilet paper?

Trains didn't stop long enough for a switch. I thought star would over take us to eliminate confusion at winterhaven and beyond.

Just left ft lauderdale at 5:56 pm. Should be early into Miami. Attendant redeemed himself in end. Got my big bag down without my asking. I probably would have done it myself. But I was pleased to let somebody else get it. On Saturday I'll board the star for washington dc to join the Fest. Since Thursday and Friday don't involve rail travel I'll not post here unless to respond to questions or comments.

The attendant did not even know we were close to the station. I saw a huge storm approaching from the west, so I had a sense of urgency getting a cab. So a mile out of the station I go to the door at the end of the car. He says, what are you doing. It's still a long time to the station. 15 or 20 minutes. I said we are 1 mile out and I don't want to get caught in the storm. I Showed him the gps on my phone.

If you're staying in South Beach and you don't show for the Fest, we'll understand. :P

I'm staying at the Courtyard Miami airport south. It is an excellent property. I took a cab. It was 15 minutes and 15 dollars to the hotel. I think you could take tri-rail to the airport station, and then somehow uses a combination of shuttles if you did not want to use Taxis.

Airport Tri-Rail station is closed, set to reopen in 2012 when they finish rebuilding it as an intermodal transportation center (to include Amtrak so they can get out of that place in Hialeah they call a station).

Tomorrow might be interesting. 97 and 91 are both running 3 hours late. Wonder how late they'll be into Miami. Will 92 be late departing tomorrow? Hope I don't miss the run into Tampa.

Allegedly they will be arriving within 4 minutes of each other at around 8:30pm. I doubt this will impact any departure day after. Now, if they were like 8 hours late, that might start becoming a factor.
