Dallas, TX Morning News, 12/28/12:

The Museum of the American Railroad’s move from Fair Park to Frisco has been a lesson in patience these past 14 months. Logistics and paperwork played havoc with hopes of opening at its new home in 2012.

Frisco railroad museum to become major destination

Bob LaPrelle’s love of locomotives and the train cars they pull began with a family trip to Chicago when he was about 10.

“We took the Texas Chief,” he said, recalling that 1969 journey made before Santa Fe Railway passenger service would give way to Amtrak a few years later.
