MARC service alert  8:20 pm 1/13/19:

MARC Train - R schedule on Mon, Jan 14

MARC Train will operate on an "R" schedule on Monday, January 13 due to the continued severe winter weather.  Only trains with an "R" under the train number in the Camden and Penn Line timetables and Brunswick Line trains listed in the special grid on the right side of the timetable will operate. In addition, some trains will make additional stops when operating on the "R" schedule as noted in the timetable grid. Carefully review the timetables to ensure that the train you want to ride is operating.

Our snow removal contractors have been working since early Sunday morning to remove snow and treat parking lots and station platforms.  However, overnight refreezing is likely.  Please allow extra time to get to your station tomorrow morning and walk to the train platform.

Passengers should also take note of the following:

--The last Penn Line train to Perryville will depart Washington at 6:23pm and the last train to Baltimore will depart Washington at 7:50pm

--Brunswick Line Train 875 terminates in Brunswick on the "R" schedule.  Passengers traveling west of Brunswick must be on Train 881, departing Washington at 6:20pm.

--The last Camden Line departure from Washington to Baltimore is Train 858 at 6:55pm.

Thank you for riding MARC Train.

MARC service alert  11:30 pm 1/14/19:

MARC Train - Full service Tuesday

MARC Train will operate a full schedule on Tuesday, January 15 on all three lines.

We encourage our passengers to follow our safety guidelines for winter weather:

--Please allow not only extra time for your commute on MARC, but most importantly, extra time to drive or walk to your station.

--While we have treated parking lots, walkways and station platforms, significant re-freezing will occur tonight.

--Roads and sidewalks will be slick.  Please walk, do not run, from your car to the train.

--We strongly recommend wearing appropriate footwear tomorrow. Men's dress shoes and women's heels are not conducive to this level of cold and slick conditions.

--Also, please dress in layers and protect all exposed skin. This is especially important in and around your face and head.

Any delays or service issues for tomorrow morning will be posted at https://nam02.safeli...&reserved=0 , on our Twitter feed @mtamaryland and sent by E-mail alert message.

Thank you for riding MARC Train and, again, please be extra careful tomorrow morning.
