Ladies and gentlemen, the worst case scenario has come true. There is no bus or subway service in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, or Queens. News articles will be coming soon.

And here's the first one.

From WCBS-880 radio, 12/20/05:

NEW YORK (WCBS/AP) The Transport Workers Union has finally called a strike after four days of bitter labor talks, with TWU Local 100 President Roger Toussaint and MTA Chairman Peter Kalikow trading angry accusations and Mayor Bloomberg urging New Yorkers to pull together in the coming days.

This story is here.
