Austin, TX American-Statesman, 12/10/17:

Train that struck vehicle in Leander was ‘holiday tour,’ passenger says

A holiday sightseeing train was stalled Sunday when the locomotive carrying dozens of passengers, mostly kids, struck a vehicle that was attempting to cross the tracks in Leander, according to a passenger on board.

Story is here.

Wow.  All those people including kids were in the locomotive.... is there something wrong with that?

DPS said it was a Cap Metro train that was involved.

Wrong.   Cap Metro's Metrorail does not run on Sundays, and does not run this far north in Leander.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash and said Sunday night it involved a Cap Metro train that was not carrying passengers.

Wrong again.  It was.  An earlier version of the story also said the train derailed, which it didn't.
