A final walk-through Thursday marked the last step in renovating a one-of-a-kind circus building in Baraboo.
The Ringling Train Shed, built to house the train cars that took the “greatest show on Earth” across the country, is the longest wooden railroad structure in America. . . .
. . . Renovations not only shored up the worn 1909 building, but prepared the way for the shed to one day open to Circus World visitors.
New doors were installed as part of the initial phases of restoration of the Ringling train shed along the Baraboo
River. New windows were part of the final phase.
The Ringling Bros. Circus train shed, built in 1909, provided cover for the train used to transport the famed circus.
