I don't like to legislate where people eat, as I would not want it done to myself. The goal here for the lunchtimes during our official travels on Saturday and Sunday is to let you know what is available, so you can plan ahead.

Saturday lunchtime will happen as we are making our way north from the Philadelphia area to the New York area, namely as we pass through Trenton. The Trenton Transit Center has a McDonald's at one end, and at the other end, a branch of a local restaurant called Pizza Grill. The menu indicates they have more than what their name suggests. In between there are newsstands with limited selections and a candy/popcorn place, as well as a Dunkin' Donuts.

Sunday lunchtime takes place where we have to switch trains anyhow in New Haven between Metro North and Shore Line East. Rather than an across-platform immediate transfer, one hour was allotted so we can stop for lunch there in the station. Dunkin'' Donuts, Sbarro and Subway have outlets there.

Breakfast both mornings is on your own, whether it be at your hotel or somewhere between there and the start points of each day's activities.

The group usually likes to have one sitdown meal, often in a steak, Italian, or family style place. We've tried to do this in Manhattan, only to find very large crowds and even long waiting times on a Saturday night. We need to remember too that we will be transients on this Fest, that is travelling with the luggage we dragged up from Philadelphia over the course of Saturday. So we may wish to check-in at hotels following the Hudson-Bergen LRT ride and the meet again a little later. We could decide to meet in smaller groups based on where we are staying, we could stay relatively close to Penn Station (or inside it) or other transportation gateways. A few years ago we did find a diner a couple of blocks west of Penn Station that had a large variety on its menu; I'd definitely consider that again.
