Vehicles will always lose in collisions with trains

 

We’ve all heard the various admonitions about being safe when behind the wheel. Seat belts save lives. Speed kills. Don’t drink (text) and drive.

 

Too many people are ignoring one such warning, however, with often disastrous outcomes. When you see tracks, always think trains.

 

A rash of train-vehicle crashes has focused attention on railroad crossing safety. The frequency of such collisions is startling. The Federal Railroad Administration says there have been more than 10,000 train-vehicle crashes at crossings in the past five years,   .   .   .
