Virginia Railway Express (VRE)

 

Tropical Storm Isaias

 

VRE is working with our host railroads and monitoring the projected impacts of Tropical Storm Isaias as it approaches our service area. At this time, we plan to operate service tomorrow and Wednesday at the current "S" Schedule Plus level. (All trains marked on our schedule with an “S” will operate, plus Fredericksburg Line trains 300 and 307).

"S" schedule plus in effect for today.

 

"S" schedule plus continues until further notice. All the trains on the schedule marked with an "S" plus Fredericksburg line trains 300 and 307 are operating.

We will continue to monitor any impact that Tropical Storm Isaias may have in our service area.

Manassas train 328 update

 

Manassas train 328 stopped due to striking a tree. Tree blocking track. Maintainer not expected to arrive until 8:15 am. Train 330 may have to couple with train 328. Expect an hour to an hour and a half delay to both 328 and 330. 328 may also terminate and passengers may have to transfer to 330.

328 should reverse to Broad Run shortly. The last northbound Manassas line trains should depart the yard in approximately 30 min.

Evening Manassas line train 327 (departs Union station at 3:45 pm) will be cancelled.

 

Evening Manassas line train 327 (departs Union station at 3:45 pm) will be cancelled this evening due to this morning's equipment damage from striking a tree. Trains operating on the Manassas line this afternoon will be train 325 (departs Union Station at 1:15 pm) 331 (departs Union Station at 5:05 pm) and 335 (departs Union Station at 6:10 pm).
