Oh yes, I intend to book roomettes from New Orleans to Houston and Houston to San Antonio.

I booked 22 departing Tuesday Morning to return back to Chicago by Wednesday for class which starts at  5.

 

... which means you'll be doing the quick overnight turnaround we decided to avoid with the extra night.

I booked roomettes for the two sunset limited rides. Im all set. Of course Ill change hotels 17 tines between now and then.

I did take a Roomette for the short SAS-AUS trip... I figured with the longer trips done on points, might as well earn some points too for next year!

LOL.  I may not change 17 times, but I know I will (and already have in San Antonio) quite a few times.

I think you'll find yourself in Grand Central, not NYP .... unless you remain on the Lake Shore Limited to Springfield or Boston and take other trains back.  The longer trip on the Lake Shore however might mean one more cold roast beef sandwich.
