The State of Texas has decided to invest in a high-speed rail system for the state.

Bob, If you are referring to that huge Texas Triangle project that would have created a three-sided high-speed rail system anchored at San Antonio, Houston, and DFW, that one went the way of Florida's FOX system several years ago. Supposedly the Texas T-Bone is a scaled down version of the original proposal.

Briefly: Southwest Airlines.

Strong anti-rail lobbying killed that project.
