According to our itinerary, we are scheduled to arrive in Union Station from RVR at 4:29pm.  It is anyone's guess what time we will actually arrive.

It is assumed that most of the group will be interested in a group dinner.

Please respond here if you are interested in joining others for a group dinner.

If you have a preference for a particular restaurant, please so indicate.

A couple of years ago, we had a very nice dinner at Pizzaria Uno in Union Station.  The restaurant was very accommodating and provided us with separate checks.

I would like to participate in a group dinner after we arrive back from RVR, and think that eating at a restaurant in Union Station would work well.

I assume that Pizzaria Uno and Thunder Grille are still located in the station.  (I think Pizzaria Uno is a better choice).

There are also many more fast type restaurants in the food court and upstairs as well.  If we cannot get reservations for a large group, we could all sit together in the food court and everyone choose what they want.

Once we get an idea of our arrival time, we could make reservations from the train.  Of course, if we wait until the "last minute," the restaurant may not be able to accommodate a large group.

I guess we should decide if it is better to make arrangements in advance for a time that we think will work and then amend if necessary.

It seems like a slow weekend in Washington given the low hotel prices, so I don't anticipate an issue with last minute reservations.   I think given the uncertainty of when we might arrive relative to the scheduled 4:29 PM arrival time of Train #80, remaining in or near Union Station is probably best.  Also to consider is that the hotel choices are not all close, so some will need to travel by Metro after dinner to wherever they are staying.  I think Uno would be fine and reasonable, certainly better priced  than Thunder Grille.

I will join the group for dinner on Saturday.  In or very near Union Station is best.  Pizzerria Uno did a great job last time!
