New Wilmington/Newark Line Schedule in effect March 24, 2024

Due to Amtrak construction work, a new Wilmington/Newark Line timetable will be in effect on Sunday, March 24. Additionally, when Amtrak track work south of Wilmington Station begins on Sunday, April 14, service to Churchman’s Crossing Station is temporarily suspended through mid-July.


Weekday Inbound (towards Center City) Schedule Changes

Inbound trains to Center City have adjustments to most trains departing Newark Station. Trains depart between 5 to 10 minutes EARLIER at Newark Station only.

Train 1226, the 6:27 pm Newark Station departure, operates up to 17 minutes EARLIER from all stops Newark to Suburban stations.


Weekday Outbound (towards Newark Station) Schedule Changes

Most outbound trains to Newark Station operate up to 8 minutes LATER.

Train 9213, the 4:47 am Suburban Station departure, operates up to 19 minutes LATER from all stops between Temple and Newark stations, arriving at Newark Station at 6:15 am.

Train 9221, the 3:36 pm Suburban Station departure, operates up to 8 minutes EARLIER, arriving at Newark Station at 4:48 pm.


Weekend Schedule Changes

No changes.


No Train Service to Churchman’s Crossing Station Sunday, April 14 – Friday, July 19, 2024*

Due to Amtrak construction, trains are bypassing Churchman’s Crossing Station in both directions. All other SEPTA stations in Delaware will have train service.

A new schedule dated SundayApril 14, 2024, will be issued with no stops at Churchman’s Crossing Station.

*Amtrak work is subject to change. SEPTA will keep riders up to date with any construction delays or extensions.


Inbound Commuter Information

Commuters going towards Center City Philadelphia can board trains at Newark Station, Wilmington Station or Claymont Station. There is ample free parking at Newark and Claymont stations. Pay-to-park facilities are available near the Wilmington Station.


Outbound Commuter Information

Commuters traveling outbound toward Churchman’s Crossing Station are encouraged to travel to Newark Station, where a revised DART Bus Route 62 provides service to major destinations in the Churchman’s Crossing Station area. DART Bus Routes 10 and 33 also service Newark Station.
