MD MTA MARC Service Alert, 4:24 pm 1/27:

Full service on all MARC lines tomorrow -- please be extra careful with re-freezing that will occur

The MARC Train Service will operate on a full schedule on all three lines tomorrow.  We appreciate your understanding as MARC and our contractor partners at Amtrak, CSX Transportation, and Bombardier worked to dig out our stations, parking lots, servicing facilities, and tracks from the historic snow that Blizzard Jonas brought.

Many parking lots have reduced capacity due to significant piles of snow.  We continue to work with our snow removal contractors and appreciate your patience as these piles are removed.   While we appreciate that parking is reduced, please do not block these snow piles with your vehicles.   This will slow the process of removing the snow--which will continue during the day tomorrow--and thus restoring full parking lot capacity.

Finally, the weather forecast for this evening calls for very low temperatures and a significant re-freeze of any melting that occurred today.  Please allow extra time to get to your station tomorrow morning, WALK from your car to your train platform, and be extra careful boarding and detraining.

Thank you for riding the MARC Train Service.
