Story is here.Passengers boarding Florida East Coast Industries' intercity passenger rail service are likely to pay less than $100 for a trip from Miami to Orlando.
The rail line is still determining pricing, but the average trip between these cities will cost about $85, with passengers paying just over $20 from Miami to West Palm Beach, according to Rusty Roberts, vice president of corporate development.
From previous articles I was under the impression that one would not be able to ride solely between stops on the Gold Coast, that the Orlando-bound trains would be boarding only at Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, and the Miami-bound trains would be discharge only at those same stops. Even Amtrak today doesn't let you ride from Miami to West Palm Beach, although that is due to the presence of TriRail. There may be similar commuter rail along the FEC in time.
