September 14, 2004 According to current forecasts, Hurricane Ivan is expected to make landfall in the United States through the Gulf of Mexico and the Florida and Alabama border later this week. The storm is still classified as Category 5, and its full impact when it will reach the U.S. coast is unknown at this stage. We expect that CN's operations in Mobile AL, New Orleans LA and Desterhan LA may be affected by the storm and are taking steps to reduce the impact on local operations by moving as much traffic out of the area as possible. We will update as the situation develops.
