How often can one see from one end of NJT's Hoboken Terminal to the other without trains being in the way?

This was shot around 12:30 PM Monday 8/29 from aboard an HBLRT vehicle, looking north across the terminal. The waiting room and many businesses were open, but customers were few and far between. The ticket agents were out in the waiting room just milling about. Their windows had handwritten "closed" signs.

Newark, NJ Star-Ledger, 9/13/11:

Hurricane Irene highlighted need for NJ Transit investment

Coming on the heels of a summer of NJ Transit derailments and disruptions, the public transportation outages caused by Hurricane Irene should serve as a wake-up call for Gov. Chris Christie that investing more in public transportation — and housing, retail and office development around it — is necessary for the state.
