The someone with 4 parcels, one of which is a small bag of food and another is a small purse, got on 98 in Orlando, and ate a very large lunch. oink. We are leaving Palatka now and we seem to be doing OK. My extra weight does not seem to have slowed the train down. My new Bluetooth GPS informed me that we were going up to speed for a while. :)

Someone had a large piece of Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie for dessert at lunch!! I don't know if
the bag of snacks has been opened at this time.

So far, so good with connections, although those going home to Florida have yet another one to make in Washington, DC. 49-to-5 was made in Chicago. 5-to-6 was made in Reno. 6-to-30, 48, and 59 were made in Chicago.

Dick and I are in WAS waiting for 97. We tried to switch back to 91, but the sleepers were sold out. Looks like NO missed connections.

And 48 came into New York just 19 minutes late, which means connections were made to commuter trains home. No impact from the rock slide.

It would have arrived ahead of time if we could find an yard crew to split the train in a timely manner in Albany. But that was not to be. We spent an inordinate amount of time in the yard with AC shut off while they went off looking for someone to bring the P32ACDM to hook onto our train.

Then we were held up for several minutes by an open Spuyten Duyvil bridge too.
