Amtrak train kills person in Oregon City

 

An Amtrak train fatally struck a pedestrian Tuesday morning in Oregon City, the Clackamas County Fire Department confirmed. 

 

The accident occurred at Forsythe Road and South Clackamas River Drive at 6:26 a.m., a Fire Department spokesman said.

Amtrak train strikes pedestrian in Oregon City; investigators work to identify victim

 

 

An adult woman was struck and killed by a southbound Amtrak train in Oregon City Tuesday morning about 6:26 a.m.

 

An official with the Clackamas County Medical Examiner's office said later in the morning the office hadn't yet identified the woman, who Union Pacific described as a trespasser.
