Driver killed after train crashes into SUV

According to Amtrak, the train had 157 passengers on board at the time of the crash. The train was on its way from Sanford, Florida to Lorton, Virginia. No passengers were injured.

This one confirms it was the Auto Train. This is the stretch where the CSX track runs adjacent to US 17 (Roosevelt Blvd.) in the near suburbs of Jacksonville, southwest of town. One can surmise that this could have been an issue with a traffic signal where the driver did not stop with enough clearance to not be fouling the track.
