MARC service alert 3/6/18:

Weather advisory for Wed, Mar 7: regular service anticipated, potential for problems N of Penn Sta:

MARC Train is anticipating operating most service as normal on Wednesday, March 7 with the approaching winter storm.  We do not anticipate any affect on Brunswick or Camden Line service.  For the Penn Line, we anticipate normal operations between Baltimore and Washington.  With heavier snow predicted for Harford and Cecil Counties, service north of Edgewood may be affected.  Updates will be provided if service modifications are necessary.

For passengers at Perryville, Aberdeen, and Edgewood, Amtrak has notified MARC Train that Amtrak train 151 (6:53am departure from Perryville for MARC weekly and monthly ticket holders) is cancelled tomorrow.  Amtrak Train 188 (7:10pm departure from Washington to Aberdeen) is also cancelled tomorrow.  Delays or additional cancellations for other Amtrak trains are possible given the significantly more severe weather predicted for the Philadelphia-New York region.

We encourage our passengers to follow our safety guidelines for winter weather:

--Please allow not only extra time for your commute on MARC, but most importantly, extra time to drive or walk to your station.

--Roads and sidewalks will be slick.  Please walk, do not run, from your car to the train.

--We strongly recommend wearing appropriate footwear tomorrow. Men's dress shoes and women's heels are not conducive to this level of cold and slick conditions.

--Also, please dress in layers and protect all exposed skin. This is especially important in and around your face and head.

Any delays or service issues for tomorrow morning will be posted here on our website on our Twitter feed @mtamaryland and sent by E-mail alert message. You can always check on the current status and location of your train on the https://nam01.safeli...Bpw=&reserved=0 .

Thank you for riding MARC Train and, again, please be extra careful tomorrow morning.
