MARC Camden and Penn Lines - Tropical Depression Ida

mta_em_hdr_09_2018.jpg

8/31/2021 5:52 PM

Based on the forecasted path of Tropical Depression Ida, severe weather is projected to occur in the MARC Train Service area over the next two days.

While MARC Train plans to operate the Camden and Penn Lines at full service, passengers are reminded that severe weather can result in multiple types of warnings and speed restrictions issued by CSX or Amtrak. These restrictions are implemented to ensure rider safety and may create delays of 15-20 minutes. Downed trees, flash flooding, and power outages can cause more extensive delays, line closures, or train cancellations. Passengers are encouraged to check the status of your train on the Transit app or at www.marctracker.com

MARC Train's first priority is the safety of our customers and Alstom and Amtrak train crews. We will provide updates as needed to keep you informed of any service issues.

MARC Train - Potential delays arriving and departing Washington

mta_em_hdr_09_2018.jpg

9/2/2021 5:31 PM

Amtrak has suspended all service between Washintgon and New York City due to flood damage from Tropical Storm Ida at multiple locations between Wilmington and New York. While MARC Train is not directly affected by this suspension, Amtrak has notified us that there is severe rail traffic congestion in the Union Station area.

MARC Trains may experience minor (5-15 minute) delays arriving or departing Union Station due to rail traffic congesition. These delays are possible until full service on the Northeast Corridor is restored.

We regret any inconvenience and thank you for your patronage.
