Winter Weather Service Update

Capital Metro has suspended service for Wednesday, Feb. 17.

We plan to resume limited services tomorrow, February 18, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Until full service resumes, the agency's resources continue to be used to support emergency operations with our City of Austin partners to transport people between shelters and other support as needed.

Check back here and in the CapMetro App for the latest updates Thursday morning. Schedules online and in the app will be updated in real-time.

The following Capital Metro services will not be in service tomorrow:

  • No MetroRail service

  • No Rail Connector service (Routes 465 and 466)

  • No MetroExpress service (Routes 935, 982, 985, and 990)

  • No Flyer route service (Routes 103, 105, 111, 135, 142 and 171)

  • No Round Rock service (Routes 50, 51, 150 and 152)

  • No Lago Vista service (Route 214)

  • No Pickup service

  • No UT Shuttle Service

All Capital Metro fares will remain suspended through Sunday, Feb. 21 in an effort to keep people out of the cold and move them to their destinations as quickly, and safely as possible.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. Please remember to:

  • Stay warm and dress in layers.

  • Stay hydrated.

  • Subscribe to MetroAlerts for updates on your service.

  • Expect delays due to weather conditions.

Please be careful if traveling today and remain inside if possible.
