SEPTA Service Alert:
Service Advisory | Wilmington/Newark LineAmtrak Construction | Weekday and Saturday & Sunday Service Delays Beginning Sunday, May 21 through End of Service, Friday, June 30, 2017
Amtrak crews will begin a rail improvement project on Sunday, May 21st that includes the replacement of more than 14,000 rail ties and track over a 5-mile span between Wilmington and Claymont Stations.
As a result of this work, available Amtrak and SEPTA track space will be reduced. Customers should expect the following impacts to Weekday and Saturday & Sunday service:
SERVICE TOWARD CENTER CITY: Trains originating from Newark and Wilmington Stations may operate up to 20 minutes LATER than regularly scheduled
SERVICE TOWARD NEWARK: Trains making stops at Wilmington, Churchmans Crossing, and Newark Stations may operate with up to 20 minute delays AFTER departing Claymont Station
