Just in case anyone wants to know, I am close to being on my way on train 92 from Winter Park, FL. The train is running late and I hope to board in about an hour and join Dick (who is already on the train) for dinner.

Enjoy your ride. Looking forward to seeing you Saturday.

Penny's post reminded me that I had to make these threads about the Fest. This one will be for any travel to the Fest and/or activities before Saturday.

I boarded the CONO yesterday and got to Chicago 8 minutes late. Finally made a connection for a fest! Now on the Cardinal running on time, which is good because the last several Cardinals have left Chicago and hour or two late. We'll see how things go through out KY and WV though.

The Silver Star is running about an hour late. Dick and I just finished dinner. Our tablemates were a retired Amtrak conductor and his granddaughter. His last position before retiring was on the American Orient Express - Southern route. Dinner was enjoyable although dessert choices were disappointing - most contained dairy.

Woke up to find we are about 4 hours late now. Lost it all before IND. We are making good time now and glad to see KY in the daylight for once.

And I'm on Regional #125 on the way to Philly now. If only I could find a crew member to scan my e-ticket, I could relax.

Went south on the 67 and got the same New York crew as previous southbound 67 and the same forced awakening at Penn Station for the entire train. Railfanning the rest of the 15 that the group will be riding tomorrow did give me a disappointment, those windows are a pain to see out of...

I did my quick Paoli turn on 645 and 42, and then spent a few hours in the Philly Club Acela. Alan arrived next, and we waited until Penny and Dick arrived from Florida. John was also there in 30th Street Station to meet us. We went to dinner at the Doubletree where we were staying after also meeting Preston. Lou joined us later.
