Rail Service Temporarily Suspended Between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C

Due to a landslide caused by previous weather events, host rail road BNSF has implemented a 48-hour moratorium between Portland and Seattle. Normal operations are expected to resume Sunday morning.
Friday, Feb 16- Saturday, Feb 17
Cascades
- Trains 500, 502, 506, 509 & 511 are canceled. Alternate transportation will be provided.
- Train 503 is canceled in its entirety.
- Trains 505 & 507 will originate in Portland. Alternate transportation will be provided between Seattle and Portland.
- Trains 504 & 508 will terminate in Portland. Alternate transportation will be provided between Portland and Seattle.
- Train 518 will originate in Seattle. Alternate transportation will be provided between Portland and Seattle.
Coast Starlight
- Train 11 which normally originates out of Seattle, will now originate out of Portland. Alternate transportation will be provided between Seattle and Portland.
- Train 14 will terminate in Portland. Alternate transportation will be provided in Portland and Seattle.
Customers with reservations on trains that are being modified will typically be accommodated on trains with similar departure times or another day. Amtrak will waive additional charges for customers looking to change their reservation during the modified schedule by calling our reservation center at 1-800-USA-RAIL.
