Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County website:

***ALL METRO SERVICE TO BE SUSPENDED DUE TO HURRICANE LAURA***

At 4 p.m. Wednesday (8/26), METRO will suspend operations of all transit services in advance of the impacts to the region from Hurricane Laura. This is in full support and cooperation with Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner's and Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo's request that residents avoid travel and shelter-in-place beginning Wednesday evening.

Additional service notes:

  • All METROLift trips scheduled to begin after 4 p.m. Wednesday will be cancelled.
  • Afternoon Park & Ride service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
  • METRO's RideStore at 1900 Main St. will also close at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
